Laura Bailey and Liam O’Brien return as Nier Replicant Voice Actors

Square Enix announces the return of two Nier Replicant veterans in a new gameplay trailer.

Kidney Replicant ver. 1.22474487139 is in everyone’s mind as we slowly get closer to the game’s release in April 2021. Today the game caused a furore when Square Enix gave us an extensive look at the gameplay. A YouTube video from Square Enix showed the flashy battles and some sandy temple environments. The voice acting in the video was in English, giving us a surprising look at the Kidney Replicant voice actors: Laura Bailey and Liam O’Brien have returned to the series.

It took me some time and research to understand the relevance of this news. So if you’re not aware, let’s keep you posted. Kidney Replicant ver. 1.22474487139 serves as a precursor to 2017 Kidney Automata. It also serves as a 2010 remake Kidney Replicant (or just To deny to anyone outside of Japan.)

The English voice casts for Kidney Replicant ver. 1.22474487139 has not yet been officially announced. However, it appears Square Enix was ready to announce the return of Laura Bailey and Liam O’Brien as Kidney Replicant voice actors. The pair voiced characters in the original Kidney Replicant and it looks like they are reprising their roles as Kaine and Grimoire Weiss respectively.

This is only the second look we’ve had Kidney Replicant ver.1.22474487139, after the Game Awards revealing trailer and the first English-language footage we saw of the game. So at this point it is unclear whether other actors are from the original Kidney Replicant will return to their roles.
