Jerry Seinfeld, Awkwafina and rapper Jadakiss are among the names who have made announcements about coronavirus safety for the New York City subway.
It comes after social media influencer Nicolas Heller (better known as New York Nico) announced last month that he was working with the city’s Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) to put together new subway announcements, recorded by several famous New Yorkers.
The full list of contestants has now been released, including the names mentioned above, as well as Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Rapaport, Angie Martinez, Bob The Drag Queen, and rappers Dave East, Young MA and Cam’ron. See the full list below.
It is unclear at this point whether the announcements, including reminders to wear masks and social distance, will be limited to specific stations.
The MTA shares a taste of the many different voices New Yorkers will be able to hear while commuting on the subway, and has posted a compilation video of the famous voices during voiceover.
“Hear these iconic New York voices (and more) now playing throughout the system,” the transportation company wrote the video – watch it below.

Meanwhile, Jerry Seinfeld has been reflecting on an earlier interview with the late TV icon Larry King.
An excerpt from a 2007 interview, in which King Seinfeld asks about his self-titled hit series going off the air, has resurfaced following King’s recent death at the age of 87.
In the video, King said, “You gave up, right? They didn’t cancel you. You canceled them, “before Seinfeld replied,” You don’t know? Do you think I’ve been canceled? Do you know who I am?”
Speaking to the infamous interview on Twitter while paying tribute to King, Jerry Seinfeld wrote, “I’ve always loved Larry King and will miss him. The ‘canceled’ bit was just that I was having fun with his little flaw. Nothing anymore. Or less. #ripLarry ”
