Bundesliga Pays more than 40 million euros
R.B Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann carved out a frustrated figure in his press conference Bayern Munich announced the signing of their center back Dayot upamecano next summer just before their match with Augsburg
The Frenchman becomes a Bayern player after the Bavarians have paid his 42.5 million euros release clause.
“I can confirm, we are very happy,” said Bayern’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic minutes before the match of RB Leizpig with Augsburg.
Julian Naggelsman did not like the Bavarian announcement at all.
“As for Upamecano, it is true that Bayern has confirmed the transfer. We have not confirmed anything, so you will have to ask them,” he said.
“My team and were focused on today’s game, even 20 minutes earlier. Other things didn’t matter.”
“I know Upa has a release clause for this summer, so I know it’s not our decision, it’s the player’s.
“You have to ask the people who have to make an announcement 20 minutes before a Bundesliga game. I was only focused on Augsburg and I am happy with our overall performance today,” he said after their 2-1 win.
