Len Martin, a resident of the state of Louisiana, USA, ended up in a hospital emergency room after gluing a plastic cup to his lip with Gorilla Glue, a powerful contact adhesive, WKBN reports.
According to the man in the middle, his intention in sticking the glass in his mouth was to show that Tessica Brown, a “ tiktoker ” who used the same glue as hairspray and ended up with this glue for over a month, was lying and “wasn’t as serious as she was trying to pretend”.
‘I thought she was playing because she wasn’t serious about it […] I thought I could lick it to get it wet and, I don’t know, rip it off right away, but it didn’t work, ”added the 37-year-old aspiring rapper.
To release the glass, emergency room physicians performed a “painful” procedure in which the top layer of skin was removed from her lips. The wounds caused by the procedure are expected to heal completely within about three weeks.
After his experience, Martin advised people, especially children, not to imitate the challenges circulating through social networks as serious injuries and even death can be caused, and stressed that playing with superglue is something that absolutely shouldn’t be done.
