Janice Dean: Gov. Cuomo’s’ cover-up ‘of nursing home deaths’ gruesome’, ‘DOJ must investigate

Janice Dean called on President Joe Biden to probe the DOJ in Gov. Cuomo and “get it done” after news broke that the governor’s assistant admitted to covering up deaths from the coronavirus in nursing homes.

The Fox News senior meteorologist criticized Biden and Democratic lawmakers for “patting themselves on the back” and protecting “Cuomo” while performing on “Fox & Friends.”

“This must be an investigation,” Dean said. “We need full law on this, and I’ve heard President Biden dismissed DOJ’s lawsuit, so you know what keeps me crying from the mountaintops.”

Dean claimed she had never spoken out on a political topic before, said that despite being grateful to those who broke the story and wanted “justice,” the story did not get the attention she would have liked in the media industry.

Dean, who lost both of her in-laws to COVID-19 in nursing homes, said Cuomo’s actions are “horrific” and that he and everyone involved in the cover-up should be “punished to the full extent of the law.”

Melissa DeRosa, secretary to Governor Andrew Cuomo, tried to reverse an earlier admission that the state had deliberately withheld death records from the COVID-19 nursing home, insisting on Friday that the governor’s office was “ comprehensive and transparent ” in the responding to Trump’s Justice Department requests for documents.

During a telephone conversation with Democratic New York lawmakers on Thursday, DeRosa reportedly said the Cuomo government feared the data on COVID-19 deaths could be “ used against us ” by the Justice Department in the midst of a federal investigation against four states regarding nursing home deaths, including New York.
