Four-star tight ending Elijah Brown has committed to Alabama, the Dayton (Ohio) Wayne product announced Friday morning on his social media account.

Brown promised UA on a number of additional offerings from Auburn, LSU, USC, Wisconsin, and others. The Tide focused on him last summer.
New Offensive Coordinator Bill O’Brien then took over Brown’s recruitment Charles Huff originally offered him.
At 1.85 yards, 230 pounds, Brown is rated the No. 13 tight end and No. 277 player in the entire country, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Ohio native is the first four-star tight prospect UA has made a commitment to since Jahleel Billingsley in Class 2019. In that time frame, UA has added tight ends through the graduation handover like Caden Clark, Robbie Ouzts and Carl Tucker route.
Brown’s head coach spoke to BamaOnLine about what makes the Ohio talent special:
“He’s a great athlete,” Mukes told BamaOnLine. “He moves very well. He catches the ball very well, catches it with his hands, not with his body. He continues to develop every day, every year as a player and as a person. Just to see that development and see its growth was enormous for me.
“For me, the way he moves and how he can create mismatches across the field for us is a huge asset,” said Mukes, adding that the team plays the ball about 65 percent of the time. “We as the coaching staff need to do a better job of getting him more involved in the game plan. He’s obviously a nice target for a quarterback to have across the center of the field. . “
