Cuomo faces possible probe, calls for impeachment after a bomb report on the state’s death in nursing homes
The political career of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo may have been in jeopardy Thursday after a top aide told Democrats at the state level that Cuomo’s government had withheld records of coronavirus deaths in the state’s nursing homes.

The goal, said Cuomo secretary Melissa DeRosa, was to protect the Democrat administration from federal scrutiny by the Trump administration, the New York Post reported.

Republicans were outraged. US Rep. Lee Zeldin, RN.Y., called for an investigation by the Justice Department.

“The families of thousands of dead New York seniors deserve accountability and justice for the true consequences of Governor Cuomo’s fatally flawed nursing home policies and ongoing attempts to cover it up. Clearly, what is happening here is criminal,” said Zeldin.

The Post report coincided with a second correction by state officials in as many weeks about underreported deaths in nursing homes.

US Rep. Elise Stefanik, RN.Y., demanded that Cuomo and his “senior team” be “immediately” “prosecuted” in connection with DeRosa’s revelations. CLICK HERE FOR MORE ABOUT OUR TOP STORY.

Josh Hawley rips Trump impeachment sessions as ‘kangaroo trial’
US Senator Josh Hawley, R-Mo., Tore into Congressional Democrats on Thursday and accused them this week of organizing a “kangaroo trial” in the Senate in an attempt to convict former President Donald Trump on charges of “it.” inciting an uprising “. “

“It’s totally unconstitutional and it’s incredibly selfish on the part of the Democrats who are pursuing their own personal political vendettas here,” Hawley said in an interview with Fox News’ Harris Faulkner.

“The constitution does not allow them to do what they are trying to do,” the senator added.

Thursday marked the third and final day that Democrats will plead their case against Trump, who accuses the party of encouraging its supporters to attack the Capitol on January 6, the same day Congress voted on whether or not to certify the vote. from the Electoral College in the presidential election. The certification vote was postponed when rioters stormed the Capitol, but lawmakers reconvened that night and confirmed the vote, favoring Democrat Joe Biden over Trump, who was looking to run for a second term.

Republicans have argued that Trump was exercising his First Amendment right to free speech when he addressed a rally in Washington on Jan. 6. Democrats have argued that Trump is responsible for the subsequent Capitol attack, which resulted in multiple deaths.

Trump’s defense team would refute the arguments against Trump that the Democrats have made during the trial for the past three days on Friday. CLICK HERE FOR MORE.

Anti-Trump Lincoln Project is facing fierce backlash accused of publishing private messages from ex-members
The Lincoln Project, a political group made up of anti-Trump Republicans, faced intense backlash and potentially major legal troubles after being accused of publishing screenshots of private messages from Jennifer Horn, one of the group’s co-founders.

Horn, who left the Lincoln Project last week, has had a public feud with the group since she left. But the Lincoln Project escalated tensions on Thursday night with tweets that appeared to show Horn had an exchange with 19th News correspondent Amanda Becker.

“Earlier tonight we became aware that @ 19thnews’ @AmandaBecker was preparing to publish a defamatory work on the Lincoln Project with the help of @NHJennifer,” the Lincoln Project began a long thread. “You hear a lot of talk about hit jobs in journalism, but you rarely get to see their origin story. Enjoy it.”

Former group member George Conway condemned the posting of the tweets as a possible “violation of federal law”. CLICK HERE FOR MORE.

A FEW WORDS

Erin Hawley, wife of United States Senator Josh Hawley, R-Mo., Told of a terrifying protest that took place outside the couple’s Virginia home in January – when she was home with their baby daughter while the Senator was traveling with their two sons.

‘If my two boys had been home they would have been terrified and I thank God they weren’t,’ Erin Hawley said of ‘Hannity’ Thursday night, ‘but it’s not a minor incident to scare families or terrorize children .

“The protesters know that. There are many public spaces where they can deliver their message. The First Amendment protects that, but it doesn’t protect coming to a family home at night.”
