FBI arrests Kentucky militiamen associated with Boogaloo Bois

Federal agents on Thursday arrested two Kentucky men associated with the so-called Boogaloo Bois, including one charged with crimes related to a riot in Louisville on Jan. 6, the Justice Department announced.

John Subleski, 32, is accused of instigating a riot in downtown Louisville on Jan. 6, the same day a mob incited by former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol. Subleski was reportedly part of a militia group that identified with the Boogaloo Bois – an extremist movement focused on planning an overthrow of the US government.

Federal prosecutors allege that Subleski used social media to encourage others to participate in the riot. Subleski reported that, according to a criminal complaint, it was “Time to storm the Louisville Police Department.”
