The timing of the release was coincidental, as the 39-year-old pop star’s protracted conservatorship case will return to court on Thursday.
Spears has fought for more autonomy in her life and has tried to take control of her father Jamie Spears, who has been leading the conservatory for over a decade.

The pop princess has also worked to disband or detach the entire conservatory.
At the end of the summer of 2020, Britney’s lawyers filed paperwork stating that she was “ strongly opposed ” to her father having control over her estate and finances, TMZ said.

“Remember, whatever we think we know about someone’s life is nothing compared to the person who lives behind the lens,” she tweeted.
A major motivation for the changes Britney is seeking in her legal status seemed to be her desire to stop acting.

In November, a pop sensation lawyer told a court that Britney fears her father and refuses to act again until he is removed as her curator.
“My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father,” Britney’s attorney, Samuel D. Ingham, told a judge during a hearing to determine whether another curator should be appointed. She also stated that she will not perform as long as her father is in charge of her career.
The Circus singer has not performed live since October 2018 when she completed the final stages of her Piece of Me Tour after finishing her residency in Las Vegas on December 31, 2017.
In another tweet this week, Spears appeared to address those reports, insisting that while she likes to be on stage, she “ takes the time to learn and be normal ” and “ enjoy the basics of everyday life. ”
