At least five people killed in chain crashes involving more than 70 cars on I-35 north of Fort Worth | Univision 23 Dallas Ft. Worth KUVN

Daniel Segura, a spokesperson for the Fort Worth Police Department, told Noticias 23 that people are still trapped on the road and several injuries have been reported from the series of accidents.

At the moment, the authorities are helping people trapped in their cars due to winter conditions.

I-35 is expected to remain closed for several more hours.

“This cannot be stressed enough today: PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL in the Hill Country corridor and north of I-35. Conditions will continue to deteriorate as elevated highways freeze first and then other highways, especially those with little traffic, ”the agency posted via its social media.
