HBO Max has been commissioned for two seasons to reboot the adult animated series “Clone High” as well as a series assignment for a standalone series about “Scooby-Doo” character Velma Dinkley, which will be voiced by Mindy Kaling .
The announcements were part of a larger adult animation revealed by HBO Max on Wednesday. The streamer also picked up the series “Fired on Mars” with Pete Davidson and an extension of seasons 2 and 3 for JG Quintel’s “Close Enough”. Season 2 of “Close Enough” debuts on February 25. The reboot “Clone High” comes from the original series creators Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Bill Lawrence. Lord and Miller will write and produce the new series, with Lawrence as executive producer.
