1 dead, 4 injured in shooting at Allina Health clinic
One person died and four others were injured in a shooting at an Allina Health clinic in Buffalo, Minnesota.
BUFFALO, Minn. (FOX 9) – Three out of five people shot at the Allina Health clinic in Buffalo, Minnesota on Tuesday were still hospitalized Wednesday morning – one in critical condition and the other two in reasonable condition. One of the victims was killed in the shooting. The other has already been released from hospital.
On Tuesday morning, five people were shot at the Allina Health clinic in Buffalo. Four were transported to North Memorial Health Hospital and one was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where they later died.
One of the victims has been identified as a receptionist at the clinic, while another is a 58-year-old nurse. The nurse’s daughter said she has had surgery and is stable.
Samantha Hanson, North Memorial Health’s Chief Administrative Officer, called the event “tragic” and said it will “provide whatever support is needed” after the shooting.
Buffalo police chief provides emotional update on the shooting at the Allina clinic
Buffalo Police Chief Pat Budke was emotional on Tuesday when he informed the media of a mass shooting that took place at an Allina Health clinic just before 11am.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office said shortly before 11 a.m. that the expedition received a call with shots fired at the Buffalo Crossroads clinic at 755 Crossroads Campus Drive on the Buffalo Hospital campus. Buffalo is located approximately 40 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
Law enforcement responded to the scene and evacuated the clinic and located multiple victims, as well as the suspect, who had been taken into custody.

Wright County Sheriff Sean Deringer said police also found a suspicious package in the corner of the lobby. The Minneapolis Police Department’s bombing division was called to the scene. The FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are also investigating.
The suspect has been identified as Gregory Paul Ulrich, 67, from Buffalo. Authorities believe that Ulrich acted alone and is not looking for additional suspects.
