Talking about the couple coming back in an interview with The Sun, Julia said, “I hope so. They do appear in the [second] book. The series doesn’t follow the book word for word – and I don’t think so either [it] should.

So I hope so, for no other reason than that Daphne has the right to interfere in Anthony’s life. To deny her that chance would be a crime. I think it would be nice to see. ‘

Julia also teased what fans can expect in the highly anticipated series two, which will focus on Bridgerton’s eldest brother Anthony.

She said, ‘Anthony is getting it bad. Jonathan Bailey played it so well; you still love him, but he needs to be taken off a pin, and he will be taken off so many pins. It is awesome.’

In series one, Anthony tried to be the head of his large household while in love with opera singer Siena Rosso (played by Sabrina Bartlett).

Although viewers were shown snippets of his story, along with bits of the lives of the other five Bridgerton siblings in the first season, it was mostly focused on Daphne.

Julia also revealed that her friends and family told her not to hope that the series will be turned into a TV show as many novels are given an option and not picked up in Hollywood.
