Animal Crossing Continues to Dominate UK Retail | UK Boxed Charts

And Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is number 2. Again.

Another week, another triumph for Nintendo in the UK charts.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is again # 1 for the fourth time this year, despite a 13% drop in sales. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe remains at No. 2 for the second consecutive week, losing 1% in sales.

It was almost a Nintendo top three, but Ring Fit Adventure missed third place with just 52 units. Sales of the fitness game were up 34% from week to week, but couldn’t completely topple Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which despite a sales decline of 8%.

The only major new box game coming out this year (so far) is Hitman 3, and that game is now at number 17 with a 54% drop in sales from week to week.

There was one new game on the charts and that is Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthbound at number 36. The game was published by Maximum Games in the UK.

It’s a fairly quiet start to the year for the games market, but there’s a major new game coming this week in the form of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury for Nintendo Switch. That game will definitely be the best-selling box game this time next week.
