Texans refuse to give in to the ugly Deshaun Watson feud

Teams keep calling, but so far the Texans aren’t listening.

Despite Deshaun Watson looking to leave Houston and demand a trade, the Texans still claim they have no interest in leaving him, according to an ESPN report.

According to the report, teams have “got the message” and privately hope that Houston will change their position, but according to sources, they plan to hold out and have no interest in letting go of Watson.

Both the Texans’ new GM Nick Caserio and head coach David Culley have publicly stated that they have no desire whatsoever to trade Watson. It seems that the organization is holding onto that position.

It could lead to an ugly deadlock between the two sides as sources close to Watson said he has no interest in ever playing for the Texans again. He’s under contract until 2025, but hasn’t spoken to Caserio or Culley yet.

Rumor has it that Watson has put the Jets at the top of his list of potential destinations. Other teams he’s reportedly interested in include the Dolphins and Broncos.
