Wallace noted that Greene had reportedly received a standing ovation during a meeting with the GOP caucus and asked if it was fair to call on the Republican Conference to address Greene if that didn’t seem to be happening.
“I don’t believe the Democrats have anything to do with determining which of the Republicans is on committees, but we should have handled it ourselves,” Cheney said. “And you know, now we’re going to want to see action from Congressman Greene, you know, supporting the kind of words we’ve seen in the last few days and the kind of apologies.”
The House voted to rid Greene of all her committee duties on Thursday.
“If I were on a committee, I would be wasting my time because my conservative values wouldn’t be heard, and so would my district,” she said at a news conference on Friday. “Now I have a lot of free time. On my hands, which means I can talk to a lot more people across the country.”
