On this Saturday it is expected between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the so-called Prison 4, located north of Quito, Alexis Paúl aka ‘Casquete’, who was preemptively detained by the prosecutor on January 27 for theft of the vehicle in which the killers of TV presenter Efraín Ruales were mobilized.
The 18-year-old Casquete transfer operation left Guayaquil from judicial police facilities at around 3:00 pm on Feb. 6.
Several police vehicles with more than a dozen police officers from special forces and prison guards participate in the protection of the suspects up to prison 4.
This Saturday at dawn, when the hearing to formulate the charges against Casquete had ended and a pre-trial detention was ordered for the accused for the crime theft, Marco Torres Alvarado, judge of the Criminal Guarantees Unit with competence in guayas blatant crimes, said order to transfer the subject at the Center for the Deprivation of Liberty of Quito number 4 or better known as Prison 4.
The prosecutor in the case is said to have been the one who requested the transfer of Alexis Paúl aka “Casquete”, “to protect his integral security”.
Several videos from security cameras would show that Casquete was in the Vitara jeep-like vehicle that was reported stolen by its owner on January 6. (I)
