Jennifer Lawrence sustained an injury during the set ‘Don’t Look Up’ because the stunt went wrong

Jennifer Lawrence reportedly sustained an injury while filming her next movie, which is on Netflix Don’t look up.

The film, which will be shot in Massachusetts, will also star Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett and more.

Lawrence was filming on set when a stunt explosion didn’t go as planned and shards of glass flew around. The actor was hit in the face near her eye by a fragment during the night shot. According to reports, she is expected to be okay after the accident.

The star plays astronomer Kate Dibiasky Don’t look up, which tries to warn the world that Earth is in danger of being hit and destroyed by an approaching asteroid.

The film is being written and directed by The big short‘s Adam McKay and is expected to be released sometime in 2021.

Meanwhile, Lawrence will also star in and produce the upcoming true crime movie Mob Girl, which is based on a story about the Pulitzer Prize winner. The film centers on Arlyne Brickman, the wife of a New York mob boss who becomes an informant for the FBI.

Lawrence’s most recent release X-Men: Dark Phoenix, in which she reprized her role of Raven.
