Minneapolis police are looking for a missing child after a car with a 1-year-old boy in it was stolen Saturday.
Police said a vehicle was stolen from block 4200 of Humboldt Avenue North with a 1-year-old boy in the back seat at 12:17 PM.
The child’s name is Da’merion Ni’mer White, he was last seen wearing a red and blue hat, black jacket, camo pants and black boots.
The vehicle is described as a white 2005 Grand Cherokee with a CRY 661 Minnesota license plate.
According to Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder, the child’s mother started the car, placed the 1-year-old child in the back seat, then went back inside to get an item. When she came out, she finds that the car was gone. Before entering the house, the mother described a black man in black clothes walking down the road.
Elder says the police have a limited suspicious description at this point.
The public is asked to check their driveways, alleys and surrounding areas to look for this vehicle. Police said they are looking for a grid pattern to find the child.
Call 911 if anyone sees the vehicle.
