Will Ferrell is fed up with Norway beating the United States for electric car sales, and he’s doing something about it in General Motors’ Super Bowl ad.
The 53-year-old actor is shown front and center of GM’s ad, promoting their new electric vehicle (EV) initiative.
After learning that Norway sells more electric vehicles than the United States, Ferrell calls on fellow comedians Kenan Thompson and Awkwafina to help the cause.

The 90-second ad – an extended version from the 60-second spot that will run during the big game’s first quarter – starts with a bearded Ferrell dropping some EV knowledge.
Did you know that Norway sells many more electric cars per capita than the US? Norway!’ Ferrell says with a laugh, before getting angry.
He growls and thrusts through the world, saying he “won’t stand for it,” even though he can’t get the world off his fist.

The madman decided to let it go and jumped into his Cadillac, adding, “With GM’s new Ultimum battery we’re going to smash those lugers.”
He pulls into the house of Kenan Thompson, who is dressed as a pirate, as Ferrell tells him, “Kenan, Norway is outsmarting us,” before asking about his outfit.
‘Oh, it’s my daughter’s birthday. She really likes pirates, ” though Ferrell interrupts and adds, “ I don’t care, ” asking him to “ grab an EV and meet me in Norway, ” while denying him permission to part with his family.

Pirate Kenan: He goes to the house of Kenan Thompson, who is dressed as a pirate, as Ferrell tells him, “Kenan, Norway is outsmarting us,” before asking about his outfit.
His next stop is at Awkwafina’s house, who is practicing her archery skills when Ferrell tells her that “Norway is beating us with electric vehicles.”
Refusing to believe this stat, Ferrell convinces her by catching a few of her arrows before telling her to meet him in an hour, while refusing her a ride.
Ferrell explains that GM’s Ultium Battery “is made for all types of vehicles, so that soon everyone can drive an EV.”


Archery: His next stop is at Awkwafina’s house, who is practicing her archery skills when Ferrell tells her that ‘Norway beats us with electric vehicles’


No Ride: Though she refuses to believe this stat, Ferrell convinces her by catching some of her arrows before telling her to meet him in an hour, while refusing her a ride
Ferrell drives his Cadillac into a sea container sailing at sea, while Awkwafina asks why they didn’t all go together, while Thompson adds that Ferrell probably ‘flies privately’.
After an arduous journey by sea, Ferrell finally arrives in Norway and gets out of his car with a megaphone to give them a bit of his mind.
“Okay Norway, listen to fish lovers …” Ferrell begins, before glimpsing his surroundings and calming down immediately.

‘Oh, this place is cute. Damn it, ”he adds, before receiving a call from Kenan and Awkwafina.
When he asks where they are, they say they are in Finland which frustrates Ferrell who says he is in Norway.
A blonde woman walks up to him and says, “Norway? You’re in Sweden, ‘to which a frustrated Ferrell responds with’ Damn! ‘
The ad ends with “ We’re Coming to Norway, ” revealing that GM is rolling out 30 new EVs by 2025.
GM also recently announced plans to become fully carbon neutral by the year 2040 and eliminate tailpipe emissions from light vehicles by 2035.
