People who decide to upgrade to it Mass Effect Legendary Edition on PCs may not have to say goodbye to their favorite mods. As it turns out, BioWare is apparently already considering how to deal with it. Project director Mac Walters said on Twitter that the team has “been in touch with a few in the modding community” when it comes to mod support. When the game launches in May, people should have a better idea of what to expect.
This came up when someone tagged Walters in a conversation he is discussing Mass Effect Legendary Edition mod support. Walters showed up to explain how BioWare handles both outreach and upcoming support.

We’ve reached out to a few in the modding community to learn how to a) best update everyone on changes affecting existing mods, and b) get the modding community ready for future success. It’s underway and we’ll cover in more detail at launch.

Sites like Nexus Mods have multiple entries for entries in the series. Specifically, the search results for “Mass Effect” on Nexus Mods are displayed Mass Effect 3 has more than 600 files available, which have been downloaded more than seven million times. Some of the most popular mods did things like offering an Expanded Galaxy, extra hairstyles, and a different ending.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and PC on May 14, 2021. It will also be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
