Hayley Williams releases new album FLOWERS for VASES / descansos: Listen

Less than a year after she released her solo debut, Hayley Williams is back with a new album: FLOWERS for VASES / descansos– produced by Daniel James, mixed by Carlos de la Garza, and mastered by Heba Kadry – is available now through Atlantic. Hear it below.

FLOWERS for VASES / descansos includes a new version of “Find Me Here,” which Williams recently shared about her Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades EP. In a statement, the Paramore leader said, “This is not really a sequel Petals for armor. In any case, it is a prequel, or some kind of detour between parts 1 and 2 of Petals. The meaning of the album as a whole is perhaps very different from diving into each song in particular. She continued:

For me there is no better way to approach these individual topics other than holistically. The ways I’ve been given the time (by force, really) to stew on certain pains long enough to understand that they actually need to be released… indefinitely. I may never have received such kindness; an opportunity to care for, harvest and weed or prune the seeds I had planted that are no longer alive, to make room for the living. I wrote and performed this album in its entirety. That’s a career first for me. I recorded it in my home in Nashville, the house I’ve lived in since Paramore came out After laughing. 2020 was really tough, but I’m alive and so it’s my job to keep living and helping others do the same.
