Even though she no longer goes out with his best friend, Matt James remains adorably invested in Hannah Brownlove life.
The current star of The Bachelor was a guest on the Almost Famous podcast on Thursday February 4, where he told the hosts Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon that he made sure to reach out to Hannah for advice on becoming the show’s protagonist. He also added that he more than approves of the model, the former Bachelorette’s new boyfriend Adam Woolard.
“Hannah is my girl,” Matt shared. “I talk to Hannah regularly. I actually met her new boyfriend who is incredible.”
Matt didn’t mention Adam by name, but Hannah and her new husband raised eyebrows for the first time when they were seen together several times last month. One such outing was a hand-in-hand walk in Los Angeles on January 23.
“He’s great, and she’s happy, and she deserves to be happy,” Matt continued. And the questions I asked her were exactly what to expect, how did you know when you felt something, and she was just a sounding board. “Highs and lowest lows of what can come when you put yourself out there. It made me better equipped for what I had to tackle.”

Fans will remember Hannah picking Jed Wyatt for her last rose during her 2019 The bachelorette final, breaking the heart of the runner-up Tyler Cameron, Matt’s old bestie. Tyler, who has remained friends with Hannah, is said to be a dating influencer Camila Kendra.
As for Hannah and Adam, an insider previously told E! News that the couple has been seeing each other since the holidays of 2020, and that she is “smitten” over him.
“He gives her butterflies, and she hasn’t been that happy for a long time,” added the source.
