The Note lineup normally launched around September / October so we generally thought this was when we would expect the new foldables to arrive. If any rumor is to be believed, Samsung may be planning to launch its new foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, in July of this year – months ahead of the Z Fold2, which arrived last September.
We may have to wait 5 months to see Flip 3 and Fold 3.

If Samsung now makes a shift towards its release strategy and its H1 flagship (the S21 seires) which was already released in January, then this new timeline makes sense. If the company were to spread two major calendar releases per year, they could be six months apart. This means that six months after the Galaxy S21 lineup in July, new foldables are expected.
It is too early to say whether this rumor is true. The company may be on track to release collapsible items in July, but it is never known if it will incur some sort of production slowdown. Who knows, maybe Samsung has come up with everything with folding devices for the third iteration. After all, it already went through a major recall with the first generation Galaxy Fold.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 is expected to make a change from the UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) composition of the second-generation foldables and possibly switch back to plastic. Rumor has it that the Fold3’s screen measures 7.55 inches on the internal display with a 6.21-inch cover display. Another rumor has it that the Galaxy Z Fold3 could be priced the same as the Z Fold2 at launch: $ 2,000. A supposed rendering of the Z Fold3 looks like parts of the S21 Ultra have been mixed in with a folding form factor and an S Pen. We have yet to see Samsung offering a foldable device that supports the S Pen. Earlier models have displays that are too delicate and easy to mark.

For the Z Flip3, the inner screen can grow diagonally to 6.7 inches and is rumored to have a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display of the Z Flip3 is also expected to grow from the original Z Flip’s. There are also rumors of a cheaper Z Flip3 model coming, perhaps one powered by a mid-range chipset.
