The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) this afternoon presented charges against three people, including the health minister’s chief of security, for attacking a vehicle carrying FMLN militants, killing two people.
Attorney General Raúl Melara presented at a press conference a series of pieces of evidence against defendants Roberto Carlos Coto de Paz, Diego Francisco Alavarado Peña and Héctor de Jesús Castaneda, the subjects who were charged this afternoon in the Tenth Peace Court with the crimes of serious murder and attempted murder.

The prosecution also pointed out that two weapons used in the attack, a shotgun and a pistol, had been confiscated.
Melara presented a video and a series of photos in which the defendants contest the road and reach a point where they cross the blue car, then the subjects get out and take their firearms to shoot at the vehicle the FMLN members were traveling on.
Regarding two detained gentlemen who were traveling in the vehicle carrying the FMLN militants and who are in detention, he added that they will be released this afternoon as there is no evidence against them.
