A wave crashing into a seawall during a storm in France seemed to show Poseidon’s face.
The stunning images show a crowned face atop the 30-foot wave that hit Justine against the shore during the devastating storm.
Photographer Mathieu Rivrin captured the incredible moment near his home in Lesconil, Brittany, saying he was shocked to see the face of the Greek god of the sea.
The 31-year-old said: “When I took the photos, the strongest waves from the storm hit the French coast.
‘The waves were 10 meters high and when they hit the wall, the explosion was sometimes about 50 meters high.
“I saw the incredible statue of Poseidon with his crown, coming out of the ocean with his face in the wave.”
“I try to show all the beauty, elegance and life a wave can offer you.”
