The Weeknd will be staying in Tampa in style this week as he prepares for the 2021 Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday.
We hear the ‘Blinding Lights’ crooner brought down $ 100,000 to reside in an upscale $ 9.1 million six-bedroom rectory on nearby Davis Island. The 6,000 square foot area features a pool, bay views and a private dock.
While Super Bowl producers cover all the usual production costs for the show, the 30-year-old singer – real name Abel Tesfaye – is injecting a lot of money to make sure it happens his way.
“Abel spent nearly $ 7 million of his own money over the already generous budgets to make this halftime show what he envisioned,” his publicist told The Post.
Monday, the singer teamed up with Postmates to feed AdventHealth Carrollwood primary care health workers with food from Tampa’s black restaurant, Mama’s Southern Soul Food.
