As it turned out, Cardinal’s quarterback Kyler Murray first injured his shoulder / arm against the Seahawks in Week 11. Murray says the injury occurred two games earlier.

“It happened to the dolphins,” Murray said during a performance PFT Live. ‘I don’t know if you saw it, I ran into a guy like the third and long, one of the downs, whatever it started. Then came the Seahawks game that landed me on the first ride. That’s kind of when it really started. . . . I couldn’t really – I wanted to stay in the game for my boys against the Seahawks. I didn’t run around that often with hits. I think that affected it. After that game I was fine. I clearly had to play through it a bit. But you take hits here and there and you keep playing, and it was fine. I was good all year round. I don’t think it affected me as much as people think. “

Murray fought through and managed to start all 16 games. And the shoulder injury didn’t stop him from uncorking a pitch for eternity in week 10, a game-winning Hail Mary against the Bills.
