John Cena says he will not be at WrestleMania 37.
Cena just spoke with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso to promote his new Mountain Dew campaign, and when asked, said he won’t be able to participate in WrestleMania for the first time since WrestleMania 19 in 2003.
“Right now I’m in Vancouver filming Peacemaker, the HBO Max series,” said Cena. “Given the quarantine regulations, if I left Canada, I would be quarantined for another two weeks upon my return. In short, that would stop production. Strictly based on the letter of the law at this point, there’s no logical way it could be there. We are now filming until July ”.
Cena laughed at the idea that he is now part of the group of part-time WWE Superstars returning for the biggest shows of the year.
“What a hypocritical situation,” Cena said, laughing. “I used to be very open about the fact that part-time workers were just that, and now I’m 44 and have become what I despise, as they say. That’s it, ”he said.
