At the home of María Isabel and Eduardo Rodríguez, they’ve been trying to figure out what happened to the pandemic emergency checkup for months. They received a letter from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) stating that the amount owed to them as a couple and for their three children had been sent to them. But they say it never reached them, either by mail or direct deposit.
Other taxpayers in the country are in the same situation as the Rodríguez and wondering what they can do to let the IRS know they haven’t received their stimulus checks yet, also known as the ‘economic impact payments’.
