Angelia Jolie has revealed she’s focused on ‘healing our family’ after her bitter divorce from Brad Pitt.
A new photo released by British Vogue for their March cover issue shows Angelina at her $ 25 million (£ 18.2 million) home in Los Angeles with three of her six children – Zahara, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12 .
In the accompanying interview, the Oscar-winning actress, 45, reflects on what she describes as a ‘pretty tough couple of years’ following her divorce from her children’s father, Brad, 57, in 2016.
The fencer and humanitarian told how ‘the ice [is] melting and the blood returns to my body ‘as she works to heal her family from the tumultuous time.

The new black and white photo sees Angelina, dressed in a sleeveless white top, sitting at the table while her children enjoy a delicious meal.
The photo was taken when British Vogue editor Edward Enninful caught up with the actress at her LA home to discuss her family and work.
In the accompanying interview, Angelina reflects on her life since the end of her 12-year relationship with Brad.
The humanitarian has been single since she split from fellow thespian Brad in September 2016, after two years of marriage.

The former couple is said to be ‘in a better place’ after a battle over finances and custody of their children.
Angelina admitted that she ‘doesn’t know’ if she is happy right now and urged Vogue to have a positive outlook on the future.
The Girl, Interrupted star said: ‘The last few years have been pretty tough. I have focused on healing our family. It comes back slowly, as if the ice is melting and the blood is returning to my body.
‘I’m looking forward to my 50s – I feel like I’ll hit my stride in my 50s. Although we were on the trampoline the other day and the kids said, ‘No, Mom, don’t. You hurt yourself. And I thought, God, isn’t that funny? ”

“There was one day when I was an action star, and now the kids are telling me to get off the trampoline because I’m going to hurt myself.”
Angelina insists she doesn’t see herself as ‘a traditional stay-at-home mother’ as she was ‘who was never very good at sitting still’, but she does appreciate her six children for ‘helping’ her motherhood journey.
Speaking of juggling her career taking care of her children, the Tomb Raider icon told the publication, ‘Well, I was never very good at sitting still.
Even though I wanted to have a lot of kids and become a mother, I’ve always imagined it a bit like Jane Goodall, traveling somewhere in the middle of the jungle. I had not imagined it in that true, traditional sense.
‘I feel like I don’t have all the skills to be a traditional stay-at-home mom. I get through it because the kids are quite resilient and they help me, but I’m not good at it at all. ‘

Angelina filed a request for her marriage to Brad to be released in 2016, saying in a June 2020 interview with Vogue India that it was for ‘the good of my family’, adding ‘it was the right decision’ .
At the time, it was reported that Pitt had gotten into an alcohol-fueled violent screaming match with Jolie, forcing eldest son Maddox, 19, to defend his mother.
Jolie was remanded in custody of all six children, and Brad was granted visitation rights with a court-appointed therapist.
In 2018, a court ruled in Brad’s favor after claiming that Angelina prevented the children from having a consistent relationship with him. He was given a temporary summer detention that allowed him to spend time with the kids without Jolie present.

She then claimed that summer that he hadn’t paid “ meaningful ” child support for over a year, with Pitt replying that he loaned Angelina $ 8 million and given another $ 1.8 million to help with bills.
The custody lawsuit was set to begin in November 2018, but the two reached an agreement instead, with ET reporting that it was in the best interest of the children and eliminating the need for a lawsuit.
Pitt was given less than 50 percent custody of the children, despite wanting equal joint custody, prompting him to keep fighting for what he saw fit in another lawsuit.

The couple were declared “ legally single ” in April 2020, but status did not complete the divorce or custody battle.
Brad continues to seek joint custody with a trial scheduled for October as he compiled a list of more than 20 witnesses to bolster his case.
The couple had already decided Maddox wasn’t a custody consideration and could decide when to see Brad, given he was no longer a minor.
Many details of the trial have been kept secret, although a decision was reportedly expected at their next trial, which was scheduled for December 21.
In her latest interview with Vogue, the Unbroken star also discussed her role as a special envoy for the UN refugee agency.
Angelina recalled: “I started when I was in my early 20s, putting on my boots and backpack and going out to find out what the hell was going on in the world.
‘I tried to give myself a broader education than at school. I grew up in a very empty place, in many ways, so I had to go to find a broader understanding. ‘
The activist then admitted that she believes the perception of refugees has’ deteriorated ‘over time and explained,’ We speak as if refugees are a burden. But they have had to adapt. They have different skills, a different look in their eyes.
‘They have confronted their own humanity in such a profound way. They can withstand oppression. We must honor their struggle. Honor those who fled bombs and protected their children. ‘

She stressed the importance of teaching global citizenship to her children, adding, “They come from all over the world. When I see Mad in Cambodia, it’s his home.
He is a Cambodian man and at the same time he is also an American citizen and a citizen of the world. But it is not only important for him to go there, it is also important for his siblings to go there.
