Genshin Impact 1.3 release time – countdown to Xiao’s banner

Mihoyo has confirmed when you can expect the next update from Genshin Impact to go live. The developer has posted an update on their website detailing everything you need to know from downtime and compensation to event timing and general changes in quality of life.

The downtime for Genshin Impact’s 1.3 update will begin Feb. 3 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST / 10:00 PM GMT and should take “about 5 hours,” Mihoyo confirms. However, all of that is subject to change as you are never sure what may appear. You will be reimbursed 300 Primogems for the downtime, which equates to 60 per hour. However, Mihoyo says you will still get the full amount if the update is completed early.

Once the maintenance is complete, Xiao’s event wish, Invitation to Everyday Life, will start, which is your chance to win the demon hunter if you’re lucky. Besides the protector yaksha, you could draw Diona, Beidou and Xinyan. Mihoyo adds that everyone’s Wish drop rates will be “greatly increased” from the start of the event until February 17th.

We also found that the update’s second character banner would be the Liyue Qixing’s Yuheng, Kequing. She’s an Electro user with a sword, and you’ll have the chance to add her to your squad when Dance of Lanterns kicks off on February 17th.

The rest of the patch notes to update 1.3 detail other quality of life changes and updates that have been plagued so far, such as Zhongli’s much-needed overhaul. If you want to read them yourself, you can find them on the developer’s website.
