Atletico Madrid Collected 14 in its first 16 LeLiga games

Luis Suarez has scored 14 goals in his first 16 LaLiga Santander appearances before Atletico Madrid to become their first player to do so in his first season for the club since then Radamel Falcao.
Earlier, the last Atletico player to record this count Christian Vieri in the 1997/98 campaign and before him Baltazar and Pruden did this in the 1980s and 1940s respectively.
Strangely, all three became top scorers at LaLiga Santander at the end of their respective seasons.
Suarez tops the Pichichi charts and if he wins the award, he will be the first Atletico player to do so since his fellow countryman Diego Forlan in 2009.
His good friend Lionel Messi is the main contender for the prize, with Youssef En-Nesyri, Gerard Moreno and Karim Benzema also compete for the top scorer award.
To achieve the 14 LaLiga Santander goals this season, Suarez has scored five with his right foot, four with his left foot, two with headers, two from the spot and one via a direct free kick.
Suarez arrived at the end of September Barcelona and in just a few months he has only recorded numbers Falcao managed this century for Atleti.
The Colombia striker helped Diego Simeoneside of the success of the Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup in 2012 and the victory of the Copa del Rey a year later.
