(CNN) –– No matter how excited you are to receive your vaccine, the Better Business Bureau recommends that you don’t share photos of your Covid-19 vaccination card.
Unfortunately your full name and date of birth are on your card. As well as information about where you got your vaccine, “BBB said in a press release.” If your social networks’ privacy settings are not high, you can provide valuable information that anyone can use.
Another problem with sharing your vaccination card on social media is that you make it easier for scammers to create counterfeit cards to sell, as some did in the UK, according to BBB. Better Business Bureau, which translates to Better Business Agency, is a non-profit organization. This association is committed to uncovering fraud and providing information to consumers.
Instead of posting your vaccination card, share the vaccine label, suggested BBB. He also recommended checking your social media settings to make sure you know who can see your information.
The Department of Defense released the first images of the Covid-19 vaccine registry card and vaccination kits in December.
According to Dr. Kelly Moore, vaccination records will be the “easiest” way to track COVID-19 vaccines. Moore is an associate director of the Immunization Action Coalition, which supports frontline workers who will administer vaccines against the coronavirus.
Vaccination clinics will also report to their national immunization registries which vaccine has been administered. For example, an entity could ask a question if it does not know where a patient received the first dose.
More than 31 million doses of covid-19 vaccines have been administered in the United States. This was recorded by data released Sunday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
