While fans of the former A-list couple may be reluctant to admit it, the love story is in between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt really is in the past. But with a family of six kids between them, the actors are still in each other’s lives, trying to make co-parenting work. Jolie and Pitt have kept the divorce largely private, but in a new interview, Jolie opened up about the toll it has taken on their children. The couple, who famously and controversially fell in love with the set of their film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, were an item officially after Pitt split from Jennifer Aniston in 2005. By the time they split up eleven years later, Pitt was the legal parent of the three children Jolie adopted before they got together and they also had three biological children. They were married in a secret ceremony in 2014.
It was Jolie who filed for divorce in 2016. The decision appeared to have been borne out by a reported fight on a plane between Pitt, who was reportedly drunk, and their then 15-year-old son. No one in the family has ever discussed the alleged argument in detail, although investigations were conducted by the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, such as Us weekly reported. While both studies cleared Pitt of misconduct, he had to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and submit to drug and alcohol tests to see his children. Although the split has lingered, their divorce is still not complete.

Speak against British Vogue in January 2021, Jolie once again acknowledged that her children were by no means untouched by the end of her marriage to Pitt. When asked if she is currently in a “happy stage of [her] life, ”the star was candid.
“I don’t know,” she said. “The past few years have been pretty tough. I’ve focused on healing our family. It’s coming back slowly, like the melting ice and blood returning to my body.”

While Jolie did not name her ex or elaborate on her current relationship with him, she explained that she and her children had moved to their home in Los Feliz, California “ to be close to their father, which lasts only five minutes. . away.”
The actor also confessed that lockdown has “made her feel.” [she’s] lacked all the skills to be a traditional mom, ‘but said her kids helped her through it. And while she also found it difficult to see her six children between the ages of 12 and 19 miss so many formative experiences, the circumstances of the pandemic have also given them plenty of time to spend together.
