The LA restaurant owner warns that the order to turn off TVs will push people in for Super Bowl

A Los Angeles restaurant owner on Monday expressed frustration at the health department’s order to turn off TVs for customers after they dine outside.

James Brown, owner of San Pedro Brewing Company, told “Fox & Friends” that the injunction designed to prevent people from hanging outside restaurants will push them in to watch the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.

“Super Bowl is always a busy day,” Brown told Ainsley Earhardt. “The whole idea behind eating outside is that people can go out and not go in and spread the COVID. What’s going to happen in the Super Bowl? Everyone is forced to go back in. It’s frustrating.”

Brown limits meals to 90 minutes to serve as many customers as possible after 10 “rough” weeks of takeout.

“It’s definitely been an up and down rollercoaster like I’ve never seen before.” Brown said. “It’s going to get better, but we want to show the Super Bowl.”

Brown remains “optimistic” after being able to bring back all 25 employees who were laid off while food was shut down.

“This is what I do for a living,” he said. ‘I will not be defeated by it. We’ll work it out. ‘
