A new bridge between the SDE and the National District will cost $ 49 million

Public Works Minister Deligne Ascención announced that the construction of a new drawbridge between Santo Domingo Este and the National District will cost an investment of $ 49 million.

The ministry reported that RD $ 78 million will be invested in the design of the bridge over the Ozama River, which will connect Manuela Diez’s streets to Puerto Rico this year.

The new bridge is expected to replace the floating ship operating on the Ozama River.

Ascención said they had a works investment plan for the Santo Domingo Este Municipality amounting to $ 4,854 million pesos, out of an overall budget of more than RD $ 14 billion under consideration in Public Works funds.

“One of the major works to be built is the completion of Hipica Avenue, in which RD $ 1,248 million will be invested, at a budgeted cost of RD $ 3,120 million; the extension of Ecological Avenue, with an investment of 1,123.2 million RD $ out of a budgeted amount of 2,808 million RD $, ”he indicated.

Likewise, he announced the construction of Section III of the Santo Domingo Bypass Road, in which RD $ 522,951.3 million will be invested on a budget of RD $ 25,954,927,757.62.

Likewise, Ascención said the highway to San Isidro will be expanded this year, with an investment of RD $ 270.4 million; Construction of the new Santo Domingo Este courthouse will continue and the investment will be RD $ 329,898,945.00.

Also, four Comprehensive Care Centers for Disabled Children (CAID) will be built at a cost of RD $ 270,402,509.00; RD $ 250 million will be allocated to improve road infrastructure in Santo Domingo province.
