A bright star in the foreground is not enough to infer the grandeur of the galaxy UGC 3885, captured here by the NASA/WHICH Hubble Space Telescope. Although this foreground star is incredibly bright to the eye of Hubble, it does not exceed the details of the background galaxy.
Many young blue stars are scattered through the circular patterns of the arms of UGC 3885, contrasted and complemented by dark bands of dust that also follow the spiral structure. A look at UGC 3885 may only give you a glimpse of the Milky Way, but wait a moment and the intricacies of the Milky Way will begin to show. Located in the constellation Lynx, UGC 3885 is a cosmic beauty to behold.
