Heidi Klum just taught a styling lesson on how to double up on bold animal prints – the right way.
On Sunday, Klum – who doesn’t shy away from bold fashion statements – shared a sweet Instagram video of herself and husband Tom Kaulitz kissing their dogs on a bridge. For the romantic outing, Klum stayed warm in a cozy brown teddy coat.
Klum improved the outer garment with leopard-print pants. The model then completed the look with matching platform boots. The lace-up shoes have black panels on the top and a thick black outsole. Klum’s double animal print moment works because the pants and shoes are a similar shade. The patterns are also offset by the brown coat, giving the look more of a neutral ensemble.
This wouldn’t be the first time Klum played with prints. In November Klum showed a look from the set of “Germany’s Next Top Model”, which featured a mix of two different animal prints. The show’s presenter wore a black and white zebra-striped sweater and tiger print pants. Like Sunday’s look, Klum made sure the prints were in the same color family. This time, however, she opted for a bold yellow pointed toe, giving the outfit a vibrant glow.
When it comes to her work style, Klum always makes a statement. In addition to the often sporty animal print, she also enjoys patterns and textures. One of her most notable outfits came on December 4 when Klum shared a photo of herself with an MSGM head to toe. The model chose the brand’s Swirly Heart Intarsia Sweater, which retails for $ 291 on Farfetch.com and MSGM’s Venus Flytrap Midi Skirt that comes with a $ 203 price tag on Neimanmarcus.com. On her feet, Klum wore the label’s pointed-toe knee-high boots. The boots, which are leather and have a buckle on the foot, are available for $ 567 from Farfetch.com.
