Cadillac used the Rolex 24 in Daytona to make its first teaser of the 2022 CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwings ahead of their official debut on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 7 p.m. ET. And man, do they look beautiful.
Because it is not so officially release time so far, Cadillac played reluctantly with its minute-long teaser, which you can check out in full below:
The Blackwings mimic their more common namesakes, but these are Cadillac’s chances to really push the boundaries in looks, technology and aero. As the teaser suggests, both vehicles have a six-speed manual transmission as standard, but you can opt for a 10-speed gearbox if you’re feeling extra punchy.

The most obvious changes here, of course, are the looks, which are aggressive and, frankly, gorgeous. The front gets a makeover to make it look more aggressive, and with the addition of a front splitter, rear spoiler and canards on the CT4-V Blackwing, you’re to get a road-on-going machines that wouldn’t look out of place on the track. The Blackwings just look bad.
But we also get some beautiful photos that I’m going to let you enjoy:
Yes, they are bullied forged magnesium wheels designed to both reduce weight and improve handling. Yes, your handlebar is wrapped in leather and has carbon fiber accents. Yes, you will feel like you are on top of the world.
You have to tune in to it official debut to get all the performance specs and details, but we wouldn’t be surprised that the CT4-V Blackwing would take a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 or a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6. The CT5-V Blackwing, a larger machine, could even get the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8.
IIf you’re planning to buy one, you’ll want to tune in. Shortly after the presentation ends, Cadillac accepts 250 pre-orders of any Blackwing model with a refund $ 1,000 deposit. After that, you have to get stuck on a waiting list and hope for the best.
