The house where the astrologer lived Walter Mercadobased in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has been put up for sale by her nieces on the grounds that it is not deteriorating as it cannot be converted into a museum as planned.
The house is located in the Cupey area of the Puerto Rican capital and the value is estimated at 9 million 264 thousand 420 Mexican pesos, at today’s exchange rate, and remains intact, emphasizing the personality of the legendary astrologer.
Ivonne Benet, one of the four nieces, stressed that it had been put up for sale since before the impossibility to turn it into a museum, they decided that someone else would take care of her as a measure to keep her from deteriorating.
“We want whoever takes over the house to enjoy it. Two of my sisters don’t usually live in Puerto Rico and another is gone for health reasons too, so we made the decision.”, he emphasized.
