Solari hints that Roger is staying in America; Ibargüen and Díaz will leave the team

The América coach was happy with the performance of the Colombian who entered the substitution to seal the victory over Bravos de Juárez.

The American coach, Santiago Solari, alluded to Roger Martínez’s continuity after the Colombian scored against Juárez tonight at the Azteca Stadium to make it 2-0 in the game.

At a press conference, the Argentinian quarterback showed his satisfaction with the Colombian player and assured that both Roger and the rest of the squad were serious against Juárez.

“Happy with how he came in and defined it, but just as happy with how Henry came in Emilio and also happy with all the changes. They all added even when we had to enter centrally, because Aguilera is not yet at a hundred and worked with a goal. They all competed to play a serious game and against a serious rival, ”he said.

Likewise, the ‘Indiecito’ shared that America’s leadership is looking for the exits of Andrés Ibargüen and Sergio Díaz, who haven’t been called up for tonight’s engagement, because they don’t want to risk hurting them.

“It is true that Díaz and Ibargüen have the option to leave and it was not appropriate to take risks with the option to leave. The team knows the diagnosis and we are working in the same direction, ”he said.

Sergio Díaz is close to reaching the Guaraní of Paraguay, while Ibargüen is traded in the MLS.

RAYADOS IS NOT LIABLE FOR DISPUTES

The American coach, Santiago Solari, distanced himself from the team’s statement blaming Monterrey for the Covid-19 cases presented by the Eagles over the past week.

Following the win against Juárez, Solari assured that he knows the situation all teams are going through due to the global pandemic and the difficulties they have in planning their training sessions.

“The week was strange because it was a long atypical week and it was not known when the game would be played. First at the weekend, then the midweek of the following week and then for this Tuesday. There is a protocol that talks about the number of cases. Everything is an effort and I am not saying that it is exclusive or the responsibility of the club, this happens in Mexican and world football, but there is no naturalness. Not even from the parties. All in all, we have to comply with the authorities so that everything happens, ”he said.

Likewise, he said the Eagles are having a strong infection outbreak as “yesterday there were 19 cases in our base force structure and players who could come today didn’t and I brought a 17 year old. A lot of the tests were false positives, and it all creates uncertainty. Players who come and go or who can return later ”.

“Monterrey with 19 cases and I imagine this is a huge problem to organize training, develop a team and there is no club that abstains and slows down development,” he concluded.
