Law union sources confirmed that Omar Pastor died of complications from COVID-19

Lawyer Disraeli Omar Pastor, a former chamber magistrate and close to left-wing sectors, died in Hospital El Salvador this Monday as a result of complications from COVID-19, lawyers’ union sources confirmed.

Pastor was the second magistrate of the First Criminal Chamber in recent years.

Previously, he was a lawyer and director of the Institute of Legal Studies (IEJES), an entity that has always been linked to the militant left and to which the current Vice President Felix Ulloa also belonged.

The lawyer’s family confirmed on Sunday that he was being treated at El Salvador Hospital and hoped he would overcome that difficult moment, but news of his death broke yesterday.
