More than a year after their engagement, Maite Perroni explains why she is not married

At the end of 2019, Maite Perroni told Mara Patricia Castañeda how Koko had given her the ring after six years of relationship.

Koko told me ‘you want to marry me’ at a dinner one day in Miami, a very beautiful place, and it was like ‘Yeah, I want to marry you’. It wasn’t like protocol, it was like ‘you want’ and I ‘yes, I do’ It was something very much his and mine, there was no ceremony, there was no registry office, there were no guests, there was nothing, it was something between him and me, a glass of wine and a real conversation and then he came and said, “This is a little present,” it was a very beautiful ring, very beautiful there it goes.

“We haven’t done things as they normally should be, but to us they have been what they are and we have had a relationship that has told the story, that continues and we learned to be complicit,” said Maite Perroni.
