The director of Migration Colombia announced that he will tighten control over this population after the discovery of a clandestine party with 65 foreigners.
On Monday, Colombia’s Director General of Migration Juan Francisco Espinosa said that foreigners caught in clandestine parties are violating isolation measures and endangering public health be immediately expelled from national territory.
“Now is not the time to lower your guard. The Covid has not left and does not distinguish between passports. A person who puts himself in danger endangers an entire country, so we have to comply with the measures taken by local authorities. We will not allow any of them to endanger the city and the country, ”said Espinosa.
The announcement comes after the National Police reported the discovery of a clandestine party with 65 people (mostly foreigners) in the city of Kennedy (south of Bogotá), which has been in strict quarantine for more than a week.

It wasn’t until Sunday that the police found five establishments with people drinking booze. The events are recorded in Chapinero, Suba, Bosa and Usme. Both the places and the people who took part in these gatherings were sanctioned.
Espinosa called on the public to respect the decisions of the authorities and to denounce any form of violation involving national or foreign citizens.
According to Migración Colombia, since the health emergency was declared, more than 600 foreigners have been deported for failing to meet established standards and endangering national security.
