Chapel Hill, NC – Many people are frustrated with the way vaccines have been delivered in the triangle. Some sites have had to turn down seniors waiting in long lines. Others had to wait in lines for more than 5 hours.

On Monday, UNC Health will open its vaccination clinics, but don’t expect long lines. People will have to make appointments before coming to the clinic.
On Monday morning, 850 people will be vaccinated at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill.
More than 10,000 vaccination appointments for the coronavirus are scheduled this week at UNC Health clinics for people 65 and older.
The appointments are full this week, so health officials suggest coming back next week for more appointments. If UNC receives more vaccine doses, more appointments will take place.
