According to a report, a man with a fear of COVID-19 was arrested for living in a secure area of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport for nearly three months.

California-based Aditya Singh hid at the airport from Oct. 19 – when he arrived from Los Angeles – until Saturday, when two airport workers confronted him, the Chicago Tribune reported, quoting prosecutors.

Singh was found with an airport identification badge that was reported stolen Oct. 26, the report said.

The workers called the police, who arrested Singh and charged him with criminal trespass in a restricted area of an airport and theft, the paper reported.

At a Sunday hearing, a prosecutor said that, according to the report, Singh was “afraid to go home because of COVID.

He also claimed to have found the badge, prosecutors said.

It was not clear why Singh flew to Chicago in the first place.

A judge set Singh’s bail at $ 1,000 and ordered him to stay out of O’Hare International Airport, the report said.
