About five months after its premiere, new footage was revealed Saturday of what will be the sequel Space Jam 2: A New Legacy, starring Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
The photos, which James himself shared later in the day, show the future Hall of Fame in the background, along with the film’s co-star, the famous cartoon Bugs Bunny. “Come on! In a few months. I’m so excited about this project. I can’t wait any longer,” James wrote.
James also unveiled the new ‘Tune Squad’ uniform in August. The turquoise blue and orange back features the legendary ‘Looney Tunes’ logo. In addition, it confirms that the also former member of the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers will use the number ‘6’.
Space Jam 2 is scheduled for release on July 16, 2021 by Warner Bros, nearly 25 years after the original starring Michael Jordan.
