Luka Jovic could make his second debut for Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday after completing his move from Real Madrid.
The Serbian international has returned to his former club after failing to settle in Los Blancos, scoring just twice in 32 appearances.
If the striker does play for Frankfurt v Schalke on Sunday it will be his first first-team action for a club since then Real Madrid’s defeat to Valencia on November 8.
“We must not forget that I have not played regularly for a year and a half and that I need time to recover my rhythm” Jovic told the Frankfurt website.
“I was able to train at Real Madrid with the best players in the world and I am sure everything will be fine.”
Jovic was a huge hit during his first stint with Eintracht and Fredi Bobic believes he will do well at the club again, which will only benefit Real Madrid.
“Luka can use the coming months to get back on track in a familiar environment,” he added Fredi Bobic, The sporting director of Frankfurt.
“Real Madrid knows that he is in good hands with us and that he can develop here. “
