News that we’ll be taking Pocket Monster photos on Switch soon when New Pokémon Snap arriving April 30, 2021 has all of us excited to re-see our camera and scan our digital environment for the critters. You have to catch them all (on film), right?

With two decades of new Pokémon added to the National Dex since the original Pokémon Snap released on Nintendo 64, that’s a daunting number to memorize. However, we are seasoned veterans of the Pokémon series – we know our Bidoofs from our Binacles! – and we are relatively certain that we will be able to see even the most withdrawn ‘mon’ with our keen eyes by the end of April.

How confident to be you, but? Well, we’ve put together a little quiz to test your knowledge of Pokémon and their anatomy. In the zoomed-in photos below, we’ve isolated a small portion of a dozen Pokémon and it’s up to you to identify the beast from the various options. We even twisted and rotated several clue images to make it a bit trickier.
